We are certainly off to a great start this year. The students are eager to get started, and we have plenty of state changes to adapt into our learning. We are certainly ready to rock and roll!!

Parents, please remember it is very important that your child reads daily. The Accelerated Reading Program is designed to allow students to choose books on their level. The more they practice reading, the better reader they will become. This year all students will have a goal
to reach every six weeks. At the end of the six weeks, if the student has met their goal, they will receive a special treat. So have them read, read, read!!

This year the students are responsible for writing a good story. They are learning how to create a paragraph without listing. The students will be able to write a catchy introduction, an interesting story, and a fabulous ending. They will also be working on proper grammar such as capitalization, punctuation, and correctly writing sentences.
