Communication |
Communication is very important between home and school. Please feel free to contact me to discuss your child’s education whenever you have any questions or concerns. |
|
Citizenship Folder |
This folder is sent home every Tuesday to be signed and returned on Wednesday. Conduct grades for the report card are determined by the number of marks made in this folder(see folder for further details). All graded work that is sent home in this folder is to be kept at home unless indicated otherwise. |
|
Progress Report |
Your child will receive a progress report during the fourth week of every six weeks and require a parent/guardian’s signature. The progress report should be signed and sent back to school the following day.
|
|
Homework/Assignments |
Math homework is assigned every Monday and due every Thursday, unless otherwise noted. The homework has 30 problems and students are encouraged to work 10 problems or more per day. (We start math homework the second week of school.)
Assignments and tests are listed on an assignment sheet handed out every Monday which should be placed in the homework folder. The assignments will also be posted on classroom.brenhamisd.net/webs/khinze/

Attendance |
The bell rings at 7:55 A.M. to dismiss students from the cafeteria to the classroom. Students begin working right away. Students arriving after 8:00 A.M. will be counted as tardy. It is very important to have your child at school on time due to the fact that our schedule is “jam packed”, so there will be no time to waste. Please send your child to school healthy, fever free, and ready to learn. We have so much to learn this year! I do not want anyone to fall behind. |
|
Dismissal |
Car riders are dismissed at 3:10 P.M. and bus riders are dismissed at 3:20 P.M. We use every minute we can for learning so please keep early pickups to a minimum. |
|
Lunch |
Lunch is from 12:25-1:00. You are welcome to come and eat with your child.
