Art class usually has around 4 to 5 art contests each year. The first art contest we work on is the Washington County Fair. The artwork selected will be displayed at the fair grounds. The second art contest is the Houston Livestock and Rodeo Art Contest. The artwork selected for that contest will be displayed in early January at Brenham Elementary. Other art contest this year might include the Bush Library Contest, and the BISD School District Arts and Appetizer's Fundraiser. Depending on time constraints other contests will be added.
The Washington County Fair Student Art Contest will be held on September 14-17, 2011. All artwork will be displayed at the Country Creations Building on the Fairgrounds. After the fair is over some of the artwork will be displayed at the individual schools. I will hold some of the artwork for the Houston Livestock Show in January and other artwork will be returned after I take down the display of artwork.
