News from BMS:
We value parent support and involvement and try to provide as many means to communicate with parents as we can. Don't forget to check out our website, brenhamisd.net/bms/ for general information and for teachers' websites and email addresses. Feel free to call our office if you would like to set up a conference with your child's teacher or team of teachers. Our office phone number is (979) 277-3845.
Another new resource for parents is secure online access to student data, such as grades and missing assignments. Beginning October 5, parents and legal guardians who have the right to view their individual student's records may view grades and other academic data online if they complete an application and submit important information. More information will be sent home to students and this information is also at the district website, brenhamisd.net. We want to give all parents opportunities to partner with us in providing the best possible education for their fifth and sixth graders. Thank you for your continued cooperation and support!
Don't forget---
Our school day begins promptly at 8:00 am and ends at 3:30 pm for car and bus riders. All bus riders are picked up near the south side bus ramp area. Parents who are picking up their students may pick them up in front of the main building or on the north side near the Boys and Girls Club. Generally, we ask that 6th graders meet their rides on the east (front of our building facing Blue Bell Road) side and 5th graders meet their rides on the side street, but parents who have students in both grades may choose either pick-up area.
Please pick up your student in a safe, designated area and remember to be extra cautious in busy school traffic. Thanks for your help!
REMEMBER- cell phones must be turned off and out of sight while at school!
For the safety of our students, please do not park on Blue Bell Road/FM 577 or Niebuhr Street. Questions? Call 277-3845.
Please feel free to contact me at (979) 277-3845 or email me at
bonbrink@brenhamisd.net if you have any questions or concerns. Let me know if you have any ideas on ways to improve the home/school communication system. Thanks for trusting us with your 5th and 6th graders!
