SCHOLARSHIP PACKET
The Brenham High School local scholarship packet will be available online on MONDAY, FEBRUARY 6, 2012. The scholarship packet is password protected. Students will need to come to the counseling office to pick up the directions which will include the user name and password that is needed to access it. (There is a limited supply of paper copies available to students who do not have internet access.)

All scholarships are due to the counseling office on THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 3:30 p.m.

NO LATE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED

GRADUATION EXERCISE POLICY
Brenham High School Policy:

Academic Criteria for a student to participate in the graduation exercises:

A student wishing to participate in graduation exercises must meet the following criteria:

1) Receive all required credits as described by the Texas Education Code, State Board of Education and Brenham ISD policy.
2) Pass all sections of the Exit Level Texas Assessment of Knowledge and Skills (TAKS) test.*

*A student who does not pass all sections of the Exit Level TAKS test may be allowed to participate in graduation exercises if he/she meets ALL of the following:
• Takes the Exit Level TAKS which the student has not passed, during the July, October, February, & April administrations
• Attends 100 percent of the summer tutorial sessions offered Monday thru Thursday two weeks prior to the July administration of the TAKS.
• Attends ninety (90) percent of EITHER
- a zero (0) hour class offered Monday thru Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. in the fall and if necessary in the spring
OR
- a ninth (9) hour class offered Monday thru Thursday, 3:15 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. in the fall and if necessary in the spring


Completion of the academic criteria stated above will allow a student the eligibility to participate in graduation ceremonies. Additional exceptions could prohibit participation, for example discipline issues as per policy.
