I was born in Nacogdoches, Texas. I graduated from Timpson High School in 1967 and from Stephen F. Austin in Nacogdoches with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Biology in 1970. I received my Master's Degree in Elementary Education with an emphasis in Reading in 1971 from Stephen F. Austin. In South Carolina I earned the Elem. Specialist Degree (36 hours above a masters) with an emphasis in Science. In addition to my elementary certification, I have a Gifted and Talented certificate and kindergarten endorsement. I also have ESL Certification. Each summer I earn several hours of inservice to further my education.
I am married to Felton Beasley. Our son passed away in 1999. Our daughter and husband live in Mesquite. We have two grandsons, Austin (10) and Kaleb (8).
I have been teaching a total of 25 years in Texas, Illinois, and South Carolina. I have taught kindergarten through fifth grade. Seven of these years have been at Krause. Teaching Third Grade is my favorite grade.
My hobbies are photography, crochet, bird watching, camping, and traveling. |
