Allan Colvin's teaching philosophy is a structured knowledge based concept which encompasses school, community, and leadership. He believes that teachers of the school community are like artists creating a masterpiece to produce the best and the brightest individuals possible in society. Teachers, as educational leaders, must nurture all students from diverse backgrounds and different socioeconomic environments. He believes that all schools should work collaboratively with the community to ensure all students receive a quality education. In addition, he believes teachers have a vested interest in shaping each students values with integrity, honesty, and fairness while preparing them academically and socially for their future. As a teacher, he pledges to display the same values, so his life will be an inspiration for students to follow. He also pledges to engage in research based methodologies to enhance his own knowledge and skill which will empower him to lead the next generation of lifelong learners.
