Welcome, On behalf of the entire staff at Brenham Elementary School, I would like to welcome you and your children to what we know will be a fun and fulfilling school year. BES's excellent teaching faculty and staff want to ensure you we will work hard every day to ensure your child succeeds at high levels. Our goal is to support and encourage each child in achieving his/her optimum potential by instilling in them an intrinsic sense of worth, curiosity, and love of learning. If there is something going on that you feel may impact your child's success or focus at school, please communicate with your child's teacher, me, or any other staff member. We are all here to support you and your student in the pursuit of excellence. At BES, we put children first!
Being actively involved in your child's education is essential in developing a strong partnership between home and school. Whether you are working full-time or stay at home, make sure you take time every day to connect and be present with your child. Check your child’s home folders, talk to your child about what they are doing in school, have your child read to you and ask questions about what they read, provide a quiet place to do homework every day, and help your child stay organized!
I would encourage everyone to join our outstanding PTO. Their efforts support our instructional programs and assist us in making many school activities possible. We are a school where everyone shares in the responsibility for the success of all students. We cannot do it alone. Please join the BES PTO if you have not done so already. Applications are found on the campus website and in our front office. There is no financial cost to join PTO
Failure is not an option at BES. Our goals is to make sure every child reaches their fullest potential. I need your help in making this happen Time is a non-renewable resource and so is time spent in the classroom. . Please bring your child to school every day, on time, and ready to learn. The school day is 7:55-3:20. Please do not check your child out early.
I look forward to another strong year of teamwork, community building, and a commitment to be the best for BES's amazing student population.
